Art Deco Sideboard
Out of stock
While Art Deco had its glory days in the 1920s and 30s, over recent years the style has been reborn as a trend that is growing in the luxury interiors world.
This is owed to its elegant, and sophisticated aesthetic.
This piece was bought from an auction in a stately home in Ireland (thought to have come from France) by its previous owner who had every intention of restoring it.
10 years later it is found in a garage clearance and this is how we came across this gem.
Overtime it had lost its precious shine and some of its main structure had become lost, but we have given it a lot of love and its now ready to go to a new home.
Art Deco Sideboard
Restored — this Art Deco sideboard came to us in poor condition. We have restored and kept all pieces but you will see some ares in the photos that highlight wear at feet.
Restoration and Damage Details:
We have hand sanded the frame, lovingly waxed it to nourish and refresh the original veneer finish, working to show the beautiful detailed symmetry that makes this piece special. The sides we repaired but as the wood had no life, we opted to compliment the fully restored wood with a beautiful soft Ballet Pink colour, which we also painted the interior shelves in.You will see from the images the wonderful drawer structure and art deco features that make this special.
There are some markings to the bottom leg which you can see, we opted to leave these and strengthen the support as to replace this would have meant changing the structure which would have lost the symmetry.
Every item sold vintage/antique and will show signs of fair wear and tear due to their age.
We take pride in every item and we will not send any item out if we are not entirely happy with its condition.
