Shannon

Shannon is an Irish illustrator, avid doodler, and tea drinker.

As a kid, she wandered around the countryside making up stories and drawing on any available surface. As an adult, she basically does the same thing but sometimes gets paid for it.

She graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design with a BA(Hons) in Animation and Motion Design and is currently spending her days making art and picture books.

‘How to Grow a Girl’ – Her self-published picture book is a story about a manual that appears to tell the parents exactly what to do to grow a girl, the necessary adventures, books, and silliness needed to grow.

‘Evie’s Christmas Wishes’ – Her debut illustrated book, written by Siobhan Parkinson and published by Little Island Books was shortlisted for the 2021 Irish Book Awards. It tells the story of Evie and her family and the little (very Irish) traditions they go through in the run-up to Christmas day.
